Unfortunately for Brandon Roy, and the Timberwolves organisation, the dream return may be over only 5 games after its done. Both NBA.com and Yahoo Sports are reporting that Roy will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday for his troublesome right knee. His fifth surgery of his career.
“I wouldn’t be disappointed either way,’’ Roy said. “If it ends in three weeks, it ends. It’s over. I’m totally satisfied with what I’ve done. I know the sacrifice and the effort that I put into coming back. It took a lot of discipline to get to where I am, That’s all I care about: how hard I’ve worked.’’
While we applaud BROY and his efforts to come back and resurrect the All Star career he had in Portland, it again breaks the hearts of Timberwolves fans. Despite the series of ridiculous injuries (see post below), there is still a lot more confidence and positivity around the wolves this season. Is it because of Adelman? The Russians? DC’s energy?
There’s something about this season’s team that is exciting us across the Pacific.
